SuperTech live centers utilize three large bore matched precision life-time lubricated contact bearings. The bearings are retained with a torque plate similar to the construction of machine tools spindles. The result is a bearing assembly capable of withstanding maximum radial and axial loading conditions while maintaining a high degree of accuracy. They are manufactured from case hardened Alloy Steel and Head Treated to a deep case depth. The case depth provides strength & long life while the softer core provides the toughness & ductility to support heavy work pieces. High performance lip seal and back side sealing structure offer an excellent waterproof functional advantage to protect bearing space from ingress by coolant and dirt.
